You will see this stained glass window in our Sanctuary.  It was designed around our Mission Statement.  The background is Luther’s Rose.  We are Lutheran because our roots can be traced back to the 1500’s when Dr. Martin Luther realized the church had not been faithful to God’s Word.   Dr. Luther rediscovered the comforting truth that we are saved by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in Christ Alone.

     You will see a descending dove in the window.  This symbolizes the Holy Spirit who will open our hearts to share the message of Jesus Christ to everyone.  Rays of sunlight coming from the center of the window symbolize the love of God the Father coming from heaven to all of us.  The crossed P in the window is a version of the Chi-Rho, a symbol for Christ.  In the Greek language these are the first letters of the name Christ.  He is the center of our faith and worship, our prayers, our praise and thanksgiving. 

     We are Cross of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church.  We are here to tell the story of God’s love and salvation in Christ.
